retainer than doing a four door cowl..but either way not a real deciding
factor. I like to do the fitting if I can before the engine is on, as it's a
lot easier laying up glass with nothing in the way ahead of the firewall. Do
the windshield install, layup the lower retainer (or the whole retainer if
you're doing the glass all around style that I hate). Be sure there is
enough space for the cowl to sit across the top of the firewall when
trimming the retainer to final shape. Drill and cleo it before peeling it
off the fuselage. Then you can carry on with what ever you want and the
windshield will be easy to final install at any point.
Pretty sure I had the whole install, layup process in the archives....but
can't remember if that was prior to it being lost.
