Just bumped into this video of an Aussi gent forming a spinner, nice piece of craftsmanship!
For background, I was taught the fundamentals by making a bowl in shop class in jr high. We started with a piece of (maybe) 6061-T6, annealed it and formed it over a wooden form on a wood lathe using a hockey stick shaft. Pretty kool stuff for a teenager.
