I'm glad the card & envelope finally found it's way to the right people !
I'm sorry we had to leave it pinned to the notice board instead of presenting
it at the BBQ - we missed everybody in the evening .... Timing just
was off this trip - will have to do better ! We were late starting from
Medicine Hat, but the day was just SO clear and perfect that we
HAD to continue on from High River, and through The Rocks.
To our great delight, VFC were able to accomodate our late arrival
in grand fashion, as always !!
Thanks to all of the good folks in the Vernon Flying Club for the
fantastic Western hospitality you always show us ! We wanted to leave a
small contribution for the social fund - maybe it'll help with the beer
for the next BBQ, or at least some propane ! :-) We did especially
appreciate your sacrifices in finding us all hangar spaces ..... and
we ARE <STILL> trying to write something to send to the Vernon council
that will let them know how much we like the area, and how disappointed
we were with some of the policy direction changes at the airport.....
(Sorry it's taking so long !)
Special thanks to you, Roberta - for all the organizing, and especially
for giving up so much of your evening to help some of us to get
a spot in the campground to enjoy the lakeside. Sorry it took sooooo
long. We really wish we all could have shared the camping down
there - it's always a highlight of the Ramble for us ! Next time, we'll just
have to get there earlier ! (... and maybe book ahead !!! ;-) )
Anna & I are working on coming up with a few more buttons -
there will definitely be one for you ! You can drop us a note

I <thought> this would be the last Ramble, but I was held
down & forced to continue !! ;-) We're doing a short, 1 week
Ramble in 2008, to Quebec City.... and, maaaayyyyyyyybeeee,
we'll hit BOTH COASTS again in 2009 to celebrate 100 years of
flying IN CANADA !! :-) ....if we win a lottery in the mean time ! :-)

having a memento of this Ramble, especially if it is your last out here.
