Bob,

Got your message and am trying to arrange a waiver of the overnight tiedowns
charges here in Vernon. Will let you know how that goes.

Hi Brian !

Aviation World is worth a shot - and several Ramblers have reported
finding a few maps at a Calgary pilot store, as well. As I said, I found
the 2 that I needed at Hammond - should have them tomorrow ! They
have more ...

Good luck to all !! If anyone CAN'T find the needed maps,
please post here -- I'm sure someone can find them for you !!

Hi Ramblers !

Received this note from Robby at Gore Bay Airport -
this might be a source for the 2 maps we need ! Certainly
worth a phone call !!

Hi Bob:

I just wanted to let you know that I was able to purchase all the
charts
I need for my James Bay - Hudsons Bay tour in my J-3 this August, from
Hammond
Aviation. They had everything in stock and their prices were great.
They can be reached at 1-888-256-1106. It may be worth a phone call.
Best Regards,
Robby Colwell

Robby has the welcome mat out for us, and will have
a courtesy car ready. He also has an accomodation suggestion:
"For those that are not up to camping, I highly recommend
the Queens Inn as a place to stay. It is now under new ownership
and the new Inkeepers are doing a great job. There is a
link on our web site to them."
Our site is: www.manitoulin.com/gbair

It's always great to visit places like Gore Bay - ALL of
our stops have a friendly welcome, just some are better !! :-)

------UPDATE -----

I just talked to Heather at Hammond - they do indeed have
the maps we need, so I ordered the 2 missing ones -
Winnipeg VNC, and Calgary VTA . They are $16.50 each,
plus taxes & shipping -- total order comes to $51.87 !!
Delivery will be ONE DAY ! Sometimes it costs a bit
more to get what you need .....

These are, of course, the OLD maps - new ones not
being printed until mayyyyybeeee mid-July ... :-(
