Bob,
The idea to pool orders is a great one.

My first concern is who will be responsible for questions from the builders? Often they involve a design level answer and unless there is someone of Waynes caliber at the distributor what will be the quality of the answer. Who will keep up with the construction manual and have any incentive to repair it?
