[rebel-builders] VG's on Rebel stabilizer and pneumatic tailwheel

Thanks Walter
I'm having so much fun on wheels that I'm being very slow building the
floats so I thought I'd experiment a bit in the meantime. I also put the
VG's just forward of the hinge which seems to be recommended.
Also wish I had used the original aileron bellcrank to the left of the
control column. The newer part gives me less flaperon deflection than
most of the rebels I've compared.
Got a few rivets in this week though. Presently I'm looking at ways of
putting a grease fitting into the main gear arm pivot on the floats.
With the die springs in there we think there will be enough movement to
justify an occasional shot of grease. Every mod leads to several more...

Ken, I tried the VGs on the stabs on another airplane (not a Rebel), but
they didn't do anything for it either. They were mounted just ahead of the
hinge point. Maybe they should have been mounted further forward?
On my Rebel, I just have them on the wings, and they definitely work well
there, and even better now on the water with the 360. However, I have no
problems with elevator authority on the amphibs (unlike before on wheels),
as the higher landing speeds keep them effective all the way to touchdown.
If I went any slower, my nose would be too high, and risk hitting the back
of the floats on the runway. On take-off, I can lift the nose wheels at
about 30 mph, so that's no problem either.
