[rebel-builders] Tank Rivets

Post by Ron Shannon » Sun Feb 19, 2012 11:35 pm

IMHO, best source for all specialty rivets and other fastners, with best
service, is Hanson Rivets. (http://www.hansonrivet.com/) They have online
catalog, but not ordering, so you have to call and talk to a real person
who actually knows the products. What a concept.

Sounds like you got UPSed. Always insist that anything coming over the border be shipped by regular mail. $5 for inspection and HST but about half the time stuff just arrives with no charges at all.

[rebel-builders] Tank Rivets

Post by John R. Davidson » Sun Feb 19, 2012 11:35 pm

The other problem with UPS is, if there's nobody home to receive the goods, they go to the UPS distribution centre and I have to make a forty minute drive to pick them up. With postal service, the goods go to the nearest post office for pickup. Much more convenient.

In London busy bee, federated tool, windsor factory supply all carry
them. My local rona store in Exeter usually has #30 bits for the
aluminum siding guys. I never bothered buying any #40 bits. Clecoes fit
fine in a 3/32' hole.
