tank rivets

Post by Garry Wright » Sun Feb 19, 2012 5:37 pm

I find in the archives reference to tank rivets as RR6403 - this is the
1/8" normally used for the fuel tanks.

I would also like to get some 5/32" and 3/16" tank rivets (for floats).
Not sure they exist.

Some suppliers do not recognize this designation and seem to need a 4
digit number like 16xx in front in place of the RR.

Anyone have useful info on this.

Tank Rivets

Post by paul.lennemann » Sun Feb 19, 2012 11:35 pm

Are all tank rivets created equal as far as strength is concerned? I
need to buy about 200 more to supplement the MAM RR-6403's that I
have. Any recommendations on a source?

Thanks, Paul Lennemann SR 074
