You guys are confusing me a bit here. MAM indicated to me that new corner
wraps
for the Rebel were .032" thick, part number FUS-452. (I have the Rebel not
the
Elite or SR) Can anyone confirm whether they are really .025 (as Bobp
mentioned)
or .032? Also I presume all 4 corner wraps behind the firewall are
upgraded,
although someone told me he thought it was only the bottom two.

Dan - Do register for the MAM builder's support page. It's not terribly
active
but definately helpful. Denis is making a good effort share information
anyway
he can.

Sorry Ken !!

I may be a little behind the times. When I upgraded MY corner wraps,
the new ones were FUS-70 (I think !!), and were .025. It may well be that
there has been yet ANOTHER upgrade, and this FUS-452 is the latest, at
..032. Whatever the case, anyone who has thinner corner wraps, and hasn't
yet installed them, would be well advised to order the latest version.

.....bobp

(FUS-452 sounds like it MIGHT be an ELITE part no. ....)

Thanks also for your ideas on engines. Another possibilty for me is to get
a
used 912 and rebuild it. Jeff from Lockwood mentioned that the 100hp 912s
is
coming out which may make more used 912 available.

Take care,

Hi Folks,

Thought I'd clear up the confusion around the "corner wraps". Originally the
BOTTOM corner wraps were made from .020.They were then upgraded to .032 and
the part number is FUS-452. It is recommended that if you have the older
ones that they are replaced PARTICULARLY if you have choosen the 0-320
powerplant.

To all of you that will be at this years Oshkosh Dinner, I hope you have a
wonderful evening and I'll miss you all!

Hi Colleen,

Thanks for the clarification on the thickness, but if FUS-452 is the
upgraded part number, how many are required and what part(s) does it
replace?
I'm looking at the fuselage assembly, Figure 1.
Is it item (4) FUS-33, item (47) FUS-70, or item (37) FUS-10?

Hi Folks,

The FUS-452 that replaces part # FUS-10 are $29.00 US each. Two only are
required. Shipping costs vary depending on carrier choosen.

I agree with David in repeating these messages. Quite frankly, we only check
this site out if we have some spare time on our hands. Technical, Sales and
the Shipping departments all have their own mail boxes, which of course have
priority. If SPECIFICS are required by Murphy Aircraft please e-mail the
appropriate address and your questions will be answered in a timely fashion.

Sunny Skies,
Colleen
