[rebel-builders] Rebel windshield

LP Aero will not sell direct.. Murphy owns the mould! Wish he'd just give
them permission to sell direct and commission him. They direct ship anyhow!

Is there any place besides MAM to get a windshield? I have emailed Daryl
to order one, no reply so far this week. I am sure he is busy but it would
be nice to still have decent service for builders.

Aha, that does help! :-)

Unless you're very short, I wouldn't worry about being able to use that
front end hole on the rail. FWIW, I'm 5 ft. 10 in. tall and would never
need to be that far forward. Stick with the 3/4" wide stop and "don't
worry, be happy!" :-)

This probably best explains my question. The fabricated seat stop in
this picture is 3/4 " (as denoted by the manual).

[rebel-builders] Rebel windshield

Post by Bob Patterson » Sun Feb 19, 2012 11:36 pm

Hi Curtis !

They are doing the best they can ..... just be glad
there IS someone to email ! Darryl gets to the emails
after he gets home from working on the shop floor,
running machines - often after 9 pm ...
Long days, just to keep the parts coming.

If you don't get an answer within about 10 days,
please re-send, to: Shipping@murphyair.com
Sometimes good emails get grabbed by the spam
filters ...

The windshield will be drop-shipped directly to you,
likely in a few weeks, once the order is in.

I will second Bobp to say that Darryl will respond to your email at some
point and has always been great at shipping parts out to me. At this point I
should have stock in the company :(( I ordered the windshield from Murphy
and as bob says it is shipped to your door from the east coast I believe. I
had mine shipped to at UPS outlet in the states, then drove over to bring it
across. Saved me on the brokerage fees. I too worried about Murphy not
getting back to me, but be patient, it's a small shop now with less than a
handful of employees. Owning a small business myself I know difficult it
can be wearing many hats at once. Personally I'm glad he is still in
business or my project would be dead in the water.
