brake pedals

Post by Ken » Sun Feb 19, 2012 8:41 pm

My markI eyeball estimates mine are about 2 3/8" forward. Works well.
Very little pedal movement with JDM brakes which will easily lock a
wheel. Significant pedal movement with the amphibs and I recommended the
mod.

I don't have anything in the hangar Curt.. with the cylinder mounted to the

I'll see if I can dig up a picture or two of when I moved them to the floor
in FOKM.

Hey Wayne,
While your in the measureing mode, could you give me an approxmate
distance of how far forward of the rudder tube you move the bottom of the
brake master cylinder? Found an interesting artice in kitplane mag a
while back that stated the top of the brake pedal should move 1.5 to 2.0
x's as for as the attach point of the master cylinder. I always wondered
why we have the same calipers as a 172 and cannot hold it above 1900
static. Now, how to do the most good with the least amount of intrusion!
As always, thanks for your help
