Sorry for the scare there Jason.. that would be ~ 74 inches to the

wheel... so c of g range.. 84.7 to 96.7... or there abouts.

G range

So Jason... I'm not being exact.. but I looked at my own amphib w &
b....
nose wheel is 54 inches ahead of wing leading edge or there abouts...
suspect that makes the top front edge of the float deck around 57
inches
forward of the leading edge... so if Muphy's allowable c of g range
is
stated as 7.7 to 19.7 (or if you want to use the newer one do so)..
you'd
have a allowable c of g range of 64.7 to 76.7" aft of "datum", if
your
front
edge of the float deck is now your datum point. Of course you need
to use
your own numbers as you may have mounted them more aft or fwd than
I did.

Thats what I did today.Have all the weights and distances for both
datums(door post and the front of the top rail on the floats)It's a
question of how to do the math.Have to dig into the text books
again I
guess.I left the battery unsecured till I know where I need to put
it.I'll be sure to do the mechanical test with the pipe to be sure.
Thanks
Jason
