BearHawk Patrol

Several years ago, about mid-way through my construction of a Murphy Rebel kit aircraft, I learned of the Bearhawk Patrol plans built experimental aircraft designed, built, and flown by Bob Barrows.

The Rebel was completed in June 2007. Since that time I've found that I missed 'the building' of experimental airplanes and decided now was the time to begin construction of the Patrol.

This website is intended only to show the construction progress of my aircraft. It is not intended, and should not be used to guide anyone else in the construction, or repair of any airplane, or airplane part. Anyone who ignores this advice does so at their own risk.

I intend to keep this website simple. On the following pages you will find thumbnail photographs depicting my construction of this airplane. Clicking on the thumbnail photo will bring up a larger photo, some of which may contain narrative, or descriptive information specific to that photo.

The photographs will be arranged and referenced by the plans page number. For instance the website page identified as 'Drawing #29 Control Stick Assembly' will contain photos relating to construction of that assembly. This build started with the building of the control system parts and assemblies, ie; rudder pedals, control stick assembly, flap handle, aileron and flap hinges, etc. I expect to build the airframe next, the wings last.

Lastly, this project is a retirement project to keep me occupied. I fully expect to complete this aircraft at some future date, however there is no urgency to get it into the air, especially since I have the Rebel to fly. So at times, updates to this website may slow.

I hope visitors will find this website informative. Anyone with question or comments can contact me via email at hoffmanr59@yahoo.com.
